The Springfield Wedding will be a traditional Hindu event to be celebrated in three parts on Saturday, June 12th. The details of the ceremony are as below.

7am to 9am: Upanayanam (sacred thread ceremony - groom only)

Noon to 6pm: Muhurtham and Sri Satynarayan Vratha

7pm to 9pm: Reception

The rites will be performed by Sri Sampathkumar of the St. Louis Temple, St. Louis, MO and the ceremony will take place at the India Association of Greater Springfield (click for map; phone 217-744-2260). There will be several breaks for food and fun throughout the day and even during the ceremony.
